A permit to go gorilla trekking in Uganda costs USD 700 and is only sold to people over the age of 15.

Chimpanzees are one of the most interesting primates to see on primate trekking tours in Uganda. In Uganda, almost as many people go searching for chimpanzees as they do for gorillas. There are close to 5,000 chimpanzees in Uganda, and most of them are living in their natural environments. And the safari activity takes place in Kibale national park, Budongo forest in Murchison falls national park, Kyambura gorge in Queen Elizabeth national park, Kalinzu forest, Semuliki national reserve.

Wildlife game drives.

Uganda is a home to a wide range of animals, including the “Big Five.” Because of this, wildlife trips in Uganda are one of the most popular things for tourists to do there.

Uganda has 10 national parks, wildlife areas, and sanctuaries that are home to about 345 types of mammals. These kinds of mammals come from both East and West Africa. They live in forests and especially on plains called savannahs. Murchison Falls National Park, Kidepo Valley National Park, and Queen Elizabeth National Park are some of the best places to see wildlife in Uganda plus Ziwa rhino sanctuary where the rhino trekking.

Bird watching – Explore Uganda’s birds.

Birders should put Uganda at the top of their list of places to go because the country is home to more than 1,080 proven bird species. This is almost half of the bird species in Africa, which is why Uganda birding safaris are the best choice for bird watchers going on tours in Africa.

Uganda is home to birds that live in forests, woodlands, water, and grassland. Mabamba swamp, Bwindi forest, Murchison Falls National Park, Kidepo Valley National Park, Semuliki National Park, and Moaning National Park are some of the best places to watch birds.

Hiking safaris.

Most hiking safaris and mountain climbing tours in Uganda take place on Mountain Rwenzori in the southwest, Mount Elgon in the east, and Mgahinga, a volcano. Hiking tours let you see Africa up close on foot and get a real sense of what it’s like to be off the beaten path, instead of just looking at it from a distance.

Cultural tours.

Uganda has many different kinds of culture, and the differences between them make Uganda cultural tours very different. Uganda is made up of more than 50 different countries and ethnic groups. All of these have different customs, values, rules, and other things. The most people from the Bantu group live in the central, eastern, and southern parts of Uganda. Most Nilotic people live in the northern and northeastern parts of the country.

On Uganda tours, you can learn about any culture, but most people go to see the less-known ones. Buganda is one of the most-visited cultures. People go there to see traditional places like the Kasubi tombs, Ssezibwa falls, the palace, and many others.

Visit the Batwa.

A tour to the Batwa village near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is another thing that travelers shouldn’t miss. The Batwa are a small group of pygmies who used to live in the Bwindi forest with mountain gorillas peacefully for many years before they were forced to move out of the forest to protect the gorillas. The Batwa are such a unique group of people. They show off their culture, homes, food, and ways of life, art, and crafts. They also show how fire was made in mediaeval times and how tea is grown. On a culture tour of the Batwa, don’t miss the dancing and singing around the campfire near Bwindi forest.

Sipi falls tour.

The three waterfalls that make up Sipi Falls are in Uganda’s eastern district of Kapchorwa, on the edge of Mount Elgon National Park.  The largest drop of the three waterfalls at Sipi is 100m. The falls are made by the Sipi River, which flows down from the top of Mount Elgon into the Kyoga Basin in a series of rapids. With its cooler weather, this is a great safari place to get away from busy towns and cities to rest, relax and ‘chill out’.

The Sipi River makes the Sipi waterfalls. The river is named for a plant called “sep” that grows along its banks. Sep looks like a wild banana plant. It is a medicine plant with a green frond that is almost clear and a red rib that is used to treat measles and fever.

Abseiling along the side of the main 100 m Sipi waterfalls and climbing on 14 bolted sport routes with different levels of difficulty is a great adventure for travelers who aren’t afraid to try new things.

Explore Uganda by planning a trip that will be unlike any other with these and many other activities. Family trips or trips by yourself will both be great for you.
