How to get to Lake Manyara National Park
Arusha Town is located 126 km west of Lake Manyara National Park, which is situated in Tanzania’s northern region. There are 220 square kilometres in the 330 square km park. Experience the wildness in a variety of settings in Lake Manyara National Park, including its soda lake in the Rift Valley, thick forests, and sheer hillside. By Road
By road, Lake Manyara National Park is only one hour and thirty minutes from Arusha and less than an hour if you are coming from the Ngorongoro crater. It is located 126 km (78 mi) southwest of Arusha along a recently surfaced road, close to the ethnically diverse market town of Mto wa Mbu. Some areas of the park’s northern section are particularly crowded, especially in the afternoon. The park’s two main entrances are located to the north and south respectively, through two big gates. The Manyara Region’s capital, Babati, is another way to get to the park.
If driving to the park, a 4×4 safari vehicle is highly advised.
By Air
There is an airport near Lake Manyara. Tanzania’s Arusha Region is home to Lake Manyara Airport, which serves the park. If you plan not to drive, you can conveniently take a direct flight from Kilimanjaro or Arusha airport to the park.
