1 day Ol Donyo Sabuk Safari is a unique and a fantastic national park located in central Kenya, the park is about 85 km north of Nairobi. ‘’Ol Donyo Sabuk’’ means a ‘’big mountain’’ in the Maasai language. The park is a round 2146 meter-High Mountain and thus making it a great hiking and a trekking safari destination. Despite of its small size that is 20.7 km square kilometers, the park is a home to a wide variety of wildlife, including buffaloes, antelopes, baboons, and among others minus forgetting over 200 bird species. The park offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes, like Lake Kiamburi and the Aberdare Mountains.

Day 1: Arrival to Ol Donyo Sabuk National Park.
On the first day of the safari, your safari guide will pick you from either Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or from your hotel in Nairobi at 6:00 am. Your guide will welcome you and brief you about the safari. After the briefing you will begin your journey to the park which is 1 hour drive. At around 7: 00am you will arrive the park and begin the early morning game drive to spot the park’s wildlife and exploring the park’s scenic views. You will spot animal species like the buffaloes, leopards, lions, antelopes, baboons, monkeys, warthogs, hyenas, giraffes, and spot over 200 bird species like eagles, weavers, hawks and among many others.
After the morning game drive at around 12: 00pm you will take a break and be transferred for lunch at a designated picnic area, you will enjoy the scenery and relax.
At 1: 00 pm, after enjoying your picnic lunch you will hike to the summit. You will take a guided hike to the summit of Ol Donyo Sabuk hill, along the way hiking you will enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and Lake Kiamburi.
From 3: 00 pm and go afternoon game drive. After the amazing hiking you will enjoy another game drive where you continue spotting more wildlife of the park and the scenic views of the park.
After the afternoon game drive at around 5: 00 pm you will be transferred back to Nairobi. Your safari guide will transfer you back to Nairobi with the magnificent views along the way. And upon your arrival at around 6:00 pm your safari guide will transfer you to your desired destination.
