Detailed itinerary of 10 Days Luxury Tanzania Wildlife Safari
Day 1: Arrival
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide who will then transfer you to your lodge for your dinner and overnight.
Overnight at Arusha Coffee Lodge
Day 2: Arusha National Park
After breakfast, depart for Arusha National Park for a morning game viewing, the park is situated just half an hour away from Arusha Town and is a multi-faceted jewel that is often overlooked by safari goers. It offers the opportunity to explore the diversity of habitants within the park, the entrance leads into the montane forest that is inhabited by the blue monkeys and the turacos plus the trogons. This is the only place in the norther circuit were the black and white colobus monkeys can be seen. In the afternoon, we head back to the lodge for leisure and relaxation.

Day 3: Transfer to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, you will depart for Tarangire National Park which is 2 hours’ drive away from Arusha. The park’s main attraction is the large herds of elephants, the beautiful landscape, and the mini-wildlife migration which happens during the dry season.
There are many herds of up to 300 elephants that come to the dry river bed of the underground streams, the migratory animals include wildebeests, zebras, impalas, buffaloes, gazelles, hartebeests, elands which you will see during the game drive.

Day 4: Explore Tarangire National Park
Have a full day game drive in Tarangire National Park, giving you a chance to see many animals that you missed during the previous game drive. The park hosts many beautiful bird species including flocks of yellow collared love birds, ashy starling, drabber Rufus tailed weaver among others. Al these species are endemic to the dry savannah of the north central Tanzania. The termite mounds are also frequented by the many colonies of the dwarf mongoose, and the red and yellow berbet which draws attention to many by their loud, striking sounds. You will get back to the lodge and have an afternoon of relaxation.
Day 5: Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park
Have breakfast and then head to Lake Manyara National Park, arrive in time for lunch at your lodge and later go for a game drive giving a perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. There are more than 400 species of birds recorded in the park, including thousands of the pink hued flamingos flocking the shores of Lake Manyara as well as large birds including pelicans, storks and the cormorants. Lake Manyara National Park is also known for the tree – climbing lions. Later in the afternoon, return to the lodge for both dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
Enjoy early breakfast, leave for Serengeti with your packed lunch boxes passing via Ngorongoro crater rim. During the game drive in the Serengeti Plains, you will see a variety of animals and also visit the Olduvai Gorge Museum and enjoy a view of Ngorongoro Crater prior to proceeding to Serengeti National Park.

Day 7: Explore Serengeti National Park
After enjoying breakfast, head to Serengeti for a full day game drive with your packed lunch or doing a morning game drive and later an evening game drive, you will enjoy two and a half hour game viewing on each session. Have lunch in between the game drives, the choice of the game drives will also be determined by the location of the Great Migration. Get a chance to view some lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes and many bird species.

Day 8: Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you will drive to Ngorongoro Crater rim via the scenic Masai Kopjes and also through the Villimasaba that translates as Seven Hills and is a path less travelled with so much to discover and learn. You will get a chance to see lions as they rest in the pride rocks which will be a fascinating bonus with the cheetah brothers as they hunt around the park. We shall arrive at Naabi Gate, check in the Gate of Ngorongoro Conservation Area in time for lunch.
Later go a guided walk around the Ngorongoro Crater rim for a close encounter with wildlife.

Day 9: Full Day Ngorongoro Crater Drive
Have breakfast, descend in the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day game drive giving a grand opportunity to see the Big Five – lion, leopard, buffaloes, elephants and rhinos. Other animal species to see include giraffes, antelopes, zebras, birds and warthogs among others. After the experience, your guide will take you back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10: Departure
Enjoy breakfast and after head to Arusha arriving in time for lunch. Later be dropped off at the airport to catch your flight back home or to your next African destination.
