Detailed itinerary of 10 Days Uganda and Tanzania Safari
Day 1: Pick up and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable national park
Our driver – guide – representative of Focus East Africa Tours will pick you up either at your hotel in Kampala or upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport upon arrival.
You guide will brief you about the safari and then start the journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park which takes about 8 hours of drive, along the way you will have a stopover at the Equator for photos, buy souvenirs and the proceed to Mbarara Town where you will have another stopover for lunch.
After lunch you will continue on a journey to Bwindi enjoying the spectacular views of the countryside, beautiful landscapes, Kigezi hills, terraced farmlands plantations among others. Upon arrival in Bwindi impenetrable national park, you will check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla trek
Wake up early for breakfast at your lodge and transfer to the park’s headquarters for a short briefing about gorilla trekking and the rules and regulations to follow, you will be assigned a gorilla group to trek and then hike into the forests of Bwindi looking for mountain gorillas. The trek takes approximately 2-6 hours depending on the location of the gorilla family you are trekking, when you find the gorillas you will spend one hour in the presence of the gorillas as you enjoy watching the intriguing behavior and take amazing pictures.
After the incredible gorilla trek, you will meet your guide and return your lodge, in the afternoon you will have an optional Batwa Community Tour on which you will interact with the local community and get to know their unique lifestyle and their culture in the forests of Bwindi. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Drive to Queen Elizabeth national park
You will have breakfast at the lodge, bid Bwindi Forest farewell and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park, you will have en-route lunch and when you arrive in the park. You will have a game drive in the Ishasha sector known for inhabiting the tree climbing lions. After the game drive, you will check into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Game drive and Boat Cruise
After early breakfast, you will head to the park for morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains, during the game drive you will be able to spot wildlife such as elephants, cape buffaloes, warthogs, Uganda Kobs, waterbucks as they graze in the open savannah plans. You will also view predators such as lions, leopards, spotted hyenas while on their morning hunt.
After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon you will head to Kazinga Channel for a boat cruise. On the cruise you will be able to see schools of hippos, elephants, and many water birds such as herons, cormorants along the shores of the channel which joins Lake Edward to Lake George. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Rwenzori Day Hike
After breakfast at your lodge, you will head to Mount Rwenzori for a day hike experience, on this hike you will enjoy scenic views of the Rwenzori (Mountains of the Moon).
Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: drive to Entebbe airport and flight to Tanzania
After breakfast at your hotel, you will set of on a journey back to Kampala – Entebbe International airport for your flight to Tanzania.
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by your guide who will warmly welcome you, give you a short briefing about the safari and be driven to your hotel in Arusha.

Day 7: Game Drive in Tarangire national park, Walking Safari Experience
After breakfast, you will embark on a drive to Tarangire national park where you will engage in a game drive around the spectacular plains in search for various wildlife species such as lions, elephants, antelopes, giraffes, cape buffaloes, warthogs among others.
After the game drive, you will head to your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon you will enjoy a guided walking safari offering you an opportunity to get close with nature and animals. In the evening you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Drive to Serengeti national park

In the evening, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Full day in Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, you will enjoy a full day exploring the endless plains of Serengeti national park. You will engage in a morning game drives as you look out for wildlife species such as giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, lions, leopards, elands, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, cheetahs among others
You will also enjoy your lunch in the wilderness and later engage in another game drive exploring the park more. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 10: Departure
After a relaxing sumptuous breakfast at the lodge, you will checkout and proceed on a transfer back to Arusha with en-route game drive driving through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Known as the “Golden of Eden”. You shall be dropped off at the Airport or hotel in Arusha marking the end of the safari.
