DETAILED ITINERAR OF 12 DAYS UGANDA ADVENTURE SAFARI
Day 1: Transfer Entebbe – Kampala
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be picked up by our driver-guide and after a short briefing. You will be transferred to Kampala for overnight.

Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast, you will embark on a journey to Murchison Falls National Park with a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a walk with the rhinos. Then proceed to Masindi where you will have lunch then to the park, upon arrival. You will head to the “top of the falls” for your chance to view the magnificence of the Nile as it squeezes itself through the narrow gorge of 7 meters to form the legendary Murchison Falls.
Murchison Falls is the most powerful natural flow of water on earth, you will take amazing pictures and take in the incredible sights and sounds of the falls. Head to the lodge for check-in, dinner and overnight

Day 3: Murchison Falls Park
Have early breakfast and head to the park for a game drive for sights of animals like elephants, cape buffaloes, Rothschild’s giraffe, Uganda kobs, hartebeests, oribi, bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, bush
duiker, warthog and bushpig and waterbucks. You will also spot large carnivores including lions, leopard and spotted hyenas.
After lunch, you will go for a boat safari upstream to the calm Victoria Nile. Along the way, you will marvel at the hippos, crocodiles in the waters and elephants, waterbucks and Uganda Kobs along the banks of the river. You will also spot many water bird species like Goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant and the rare shoebill stork among others.
The boat ill stop just a few meters from where you will enjoy scenic views of the falls from below and take amazing pictures. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, checkout of your lodge and drive south via Hoima to Fort Portal through the verdant countryside and past traditional homesteads and farms. You will have en-route lunch in Fort Portal City which rests in the shadow of the fabled mountains of the Moon, proceed to the park arriving in the evening, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Kibale Forest
After breakfast, you will head to Kibale Forest for chimpanzee trekking. You will join other trekkers at the park’s headquarters for briefing and allocation of a chimpanzee group to trek. The guide will provide you with detailed explanations about the primates, forest fauna and flora.
The trek takes approximately 2 to 5 hours or more depending on the movement of the chimpanzees and where they spent their previous night. Along the way, you will spot other primates such as black and white colobus monkeys and many birds.
When you locate the chimpanzees, you are permitted to spend only one hour observing their behavior, watch them groom each other, take pictures and videos for memory purposes. Return to the lodge for lunch, in the afternoon you will go for a walk around Bigodi for swamp to catch sights of several birds and other primates such as black and white colobus monkeys, olive baboons among others. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, you will head to the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a guided walk on a 4.5 kilometers circular trail offering you an opportunity to spot several primate species including black and white colobus monkeys, olive baboons, chimpanzees and many birds.
Afterwards, you will proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park while enjoying scenic views of the mystical Rwenzori Mountain range. When you enter in the park and enjoy en-route game drive, catch sights of lions, elephants, leopard, buffaloes, leopards among others. Head to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Today you will have two game drives exploring the diverse ecosystem of Queen Elizabeth National Park comprising of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife.
During the game drives, you will catch sight of various animals including see lion, leopard, giant forest hog, Cape buffalo, elephants, defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, Topi and bush buck among others.
In the afternoon, you will go for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. On this trip, you will see the highest concentration of hippos and crocodiles in the waters and large herds of elephants, buffaloes and antelopes along the banks of the channel as well as prolific bird life. This launch cruise offers an excellent opportunity for photography, bird watching game game viewing. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Bwindi National Park
After breakfast, you will drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through Kigezi Highlands known as the Switzerland of Africa for its terraced hillside and winding roads.
Arrive in the park in the afternoon, spend the rest of the relaxing at the lodge. Have dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest – Gorilla Tracking
Have early breakfast and head to Bwindi Forest for an encounter with the endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat, you will join other trekkers at the park’s headquarters for briefing and being assigned a gorilla family to trek.
Head into the forest in search for mountain gorillas, the trek takes approximately 2 to 6 hours depending on the movement of mountain gorillas and where they spent the previous night. When you encounter the gorilla family, you will be permitted to spend only one hour in the presence of the gorillas while observing their behavior, watch them play on tree branches and groom each other. Also, you are allowed to take pictures as long as your flash light is off.
Return to the park’s headquarters to pick you gorilla trekking certificates, head to your lodge and spend the evening on your rest or head to the Batwa Village for an encounter with the Batwa people, you will be entertained by local dances and drama and learn more about their life.

Day 10: Lake Mburo National Park
Have early breakfast, checkout of the lodge and drive to Lake Mburo National Park arriving in time for lunch. With en-route game drive, you will head to the lodge for your meals. In the afternoon you will go for boat ride on Lake Mburo for a close look at crocodiles, hippos and many water birds such as Papyrus Gonolek, Brown faced Lapwing, Carruther’s Cisticola, the extraordinary White winged Warbler and Bare-Faced-Go- Away bird.
In the evening, you will have a game drive along the Lake Shore track where you will catch sights of herds of zebras, cape buffaloes, elands, oribis and topis.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Lake Mburo – Entebbe
After breakfast, you will go for a game drive or a safari walk under the escort of an armed ranger. The Kopjes are particularly interesting and camouflage klipspringers and topis, you will see zebras along side the long horned Ankore cattle.
After lunch, you will drive back to Entebbe with a stopover at the Mpigi Royal Drum Makers en route where you will be able to watch the ceremonial drums being crafted using local methods that are passed down through generations. You will have a stopover at the equator for photographs. Arrive in Entebbe in the early evening, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 12: Transfer
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight back home.
