3 Days Murchison Falls National Park Wildlife Safari : This is a three day tour to Murchison falls national park which is situated at the end of the Albertine rift valley and it is Uganda’s oldest and largest safari park. Murchison falls national park also locally known as Kabalega falls and is situated in north-western part of Uganda in 4 districts of Uganda which include Masindi, Buliisa, Kiryandongo and Nwoya. It covers 384,000 hectares and is a home of 76 different mammal species and 451 bird species. This grants tourists the chance of viewing great sights while at the park.

Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.
On the 1st day, you will be picked from a hotel in Kampala by a tour guide from Focus East Africa Tours to embark on your journey at 6am to Murchison Falls National Park via Masindi, which is a 5 hours’ drive to the national park. There will be a stopover at Ziwa rhino sanctuary where you will be taken through the history of the sanctuary and also get a chance to see the endangered white rhinoceros species and later have lunch. Proceed to Murchison falls national park and check into your Lodge for relaxation, have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking in Budongo forest and a boat cruise.
On the 2nd day after breakfast, you will head for chimpanzee tracking in Budongo forest where you will be engaged in chimpanzee tracking. While trekking through this large tropical forest, you will be able to explore the beautiful scenery as well as bird, insect and plant species.
Return to your lodge for lunch and later proceed to Paraa for a boat cruise which begins at exactly 2pm. The launch cruise upstream along Victoria Nile to the base of the falls. It can take up to 3 hours while the tourists are having spectacular views of wildlife species like Nile crocodiles, elephants, hippos, buffalos and some bird species like the white egret, marabou stock and shoebill.
Later in the evening, you will head to your Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Game drive and Departure to Kampala.
After breakfast, you will head for an early morning game drive which will start at 9am. You will board a ferry at Paraa at 9am and cross over to the northern part of the national park which is endowed with a variety of wildlife. The game drive takes about 1-2 hours in the Murchison Falls National park and you can be accompanied by a trained and armed park ranger. While on the game drive, you will get the opportunity to see a number of different animal species which include warthogs, buffaloes, elephants, giraffes among others and bird species like a saddle – billed stork, majestic grey crowned crane, handsome black-headed spur-winged lapwings and many more.
Later check out of the lodge and proceed back to Kampala.
