3 Days Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari : This 3 day safari takes place in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Queen Elizabeth is located in Kasese district of Uganda and it has various ecosystems made up of sprawling savannah, shadowy, moist forests, lakes and fertile wetlands which make it a good home to various species of wildlife, primates and birds. This park lies against the back of the great Rwenzori Mountains with stunning and panoramic views that are made up of various crater lakes. When you visit, you reward yourself with magical sights of the Kazinga channel. This channel’s shores are infested with hippopotamuses, elephants and buffaloes. This tour starts and ends in Kampala City.

Detailed Itinerary.
DAY 1: Pickup and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
On the 1st day, your guide from Focus East Africa Tours will pick you from your hotel in Kampala and then start a 6 hour journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Mbarara- Masaka Highway. You will have a stopover at the equator monuments in Kayabwe, Mpigi district. You will then proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

When you arrive at Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will embark on a lion tracking experience. The lion tracking experience will give you the opportunity to view the famous tree-climbing lions at Queen Elizabeth national park. Later you will get back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 2: Morning game drive and a boat cruise.
On the 2nd day of your 3 days safari, you will have an early morning breakfast and proceed on a morning game drive in the park. This morning game drive will give you a great opportunity to see a variety of wild animals like leopards, serval cats and other wildlife such as African savannah elephants, hyenas, Uganda Kobs, heart beasts, giraffes, zebras and many more. Queen Elizabeth National Park harbors over 612 bird species.
Return back to your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, head out for a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel. The boat cruise can take approximately 2 hours. During your boat cruise, you may sight lots of wildlife such as hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants and some species of birds like the great flamingos, Shoebill and so many others. After your boat cruise, you can decide to go for a cultural tour where you can visit the nearby Bakonjo local communities.
Later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 3: chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura gorge and Departure to Kampala city
On the 3rd day, you will have breakfast early in the morning. Your guide will drive you to Kyambura gorge where you will get to track chimpanzees. After your chimpanzee trekking experience, your guide will take you back to your hotel and you check out and then embark on a journey back to Kampala.
