Detailed itinerary of 3 days Samburu wildlife and cultural safari
Day 1: Transfer and Afternoon game drive
On the 1st day of the safari you are to transfer from Nairobi to Samburu national reserve, after your breakfast you will meet your safari driver and embark on your journey heading the spectacular Samburu national reserve located in the southern eastern of Samburu district in the Rift Valley Province. On your way you will have a stopover in Katarina open market the east Africa’s largest open air outlet to buy some fresh fruits and vegetables, another stopover will be made in Nanyuki for Lunch at Ibis Hotel. After lunch you will have another stopover in Lewa Wildlife conservancy, Lewa Wildlife Conservancy is a home to animals such as Grevy’s zebras, elephants, rhinos and many more which you will enjoy sight of. Then you will head to Samburu national park, upon arrival you will check into your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: Morning game drive and Samburu Village tour
On the 2nd of the 3 days Samburu wildlife and cultural safari you are to have an early morning game drive and Samburu Village tours, as early as 7:00 am you will leave your lodge heading to Samburu national reserve for a morning game drive. Samburu game reserve is an excellent Kenya wildlife viewing destination inhabiting a variety of animals clustering around Ewaso Ng’iro River, on a 3 hours game drive in Samburu game reserve offers excellent sights of animals such as leopards, lions, hyenas, cheetahs, antelopes, Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe. Gerenuk, beisa Oryx, cheetah and many more. After the game drive you will head back to your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon you will head to Samburu village for a visit.
The Samburu people are close relatives to the Masai People sharing the similar traditional code comprising of blankets, shukas and beautifully crafted jewelry pieces. On a visit to the Samburu village you will various traditional activities such as cattle, goat and camel herding, making of traditional ornaments, milking of goats and many more. In the evening you will head back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.
Day 3: Transfer to Nairobi
On the third and last day of the 3 days Samburu wildlife and cultural safari you are to transfer back to Nairobi, after early morning breakfast you will checkout of your lodge and embark on your drive to Nairobi with en-route stopover at Nanyuki Sports Club for lunch. After lunch you will proceed to Nairobi and when you reach you will be dropped of either at your residence hotel or at Jomo Kenyatta international airport for your departure flight back home.
