4 Days Uganda Double Gorilla Trekking Safari.
The 4 days Uganda Double Gorilla Trekking Safari is a wonderful safari experience that offers you two times while doing gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which is located in Southern Uganda.
This is so rewarding, though it takes you a 9-hour drive from Kampala; it’s a scenic journey with great beautiful views from Kampala until Bwindi. This safari is short but it offers you unforgettable safari memories.
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Depending on your location, your safari guide will meet you and brief you about the safari. After the briefing you will start on your journey to Bwindi. Along the way you will make a stopover at the equator in Kayabwe for the equator experience, taking photos.
After proceeding with your journey, make another stopover in Mbarara for lunch. After lunch, you will drive through the countryside of beauty with rolling hills, unique roads, and terraced farms until you reach Kabale. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking and community visit in Bwindi Impenetrable national park.
After breakfast, with your packed lunch, your safari guide will transfer you to the park headquarters at 7:00am for a briefing before starting gorilla trekking in the dense mist of the Bwindi Forest.
You will enter the forest with experienced trackers and park rangers and start looking for the gorillas and this takes about thirty minutes to 5 hours, depending on how far the gorillas go.
When the gorillas are located, you will spend one hour in their presence as you watch them play, feed, and hunt, and then take their photos and record their movies, though using fewer flash cameras. Afterward, you will return to your lodge to relax, and later you will go for a community walk around the Batwa village in the evening.
Later, return to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.
Enjoy breakfast, and with your packed lunch, then check out from your lodge and transfer to another gorilla trekking sector while following the same procedure as the first day, and then track a different gorilla group than the previous day.
After the experience you will be transferred to Lake Bunyonyi, which is famous for its 29 islands and is the best spot for the various bird species, and then its waters are Bilharzia free and safe for swimming. You will enjoy your dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Departure.
After breakfast, you will go for an incredible boat safari on Lake Bunyonyi, where you will sail around several islands and see terraced hills, colorful bird species and many other attractions.
After the experience, travel back to Kampala with an en-route lunch along the way and arrive in Kampala late evening, and then your guide will either transport you to your Kampala hotel or Entebbe International Airport to catch your flight home that will bring your safari to the end.
