Detailed Itinerary of 5 Days Masai Mara Safari
Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve
On landing at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide and transfer to Masai Mara with a picturesque drive descending the Great Rift Valley and onwards to Masai Mara, Kenya’s famous game drive.
You will stop briefly enroute at the Great Rift Valley Viewpoint to enjoy the stunning views of the largest valley in the world, said to be visible from outer space. Arrive at your camp in Masai Mara for a leisurely lunch. Your afternoon game drive starts at 3.30om, allowing spotting of Masai Mara’s wildlife ranging from the Big Cats such as lion, leopard and cheetah and rhino, elephant and wildebeests. At sunset, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Early morning game drive and afternoon game drive in Masai Mara
After breakfast, you will go for a full day game drive in Masai Mara National Reserve from 6.15 am to 9 am, before breakfast and the other in the late afternoon after lunch from 3.30 pm to 6.30 pm. Early mornings and late afternoons are considered the best time to spot animals at their most active.
Your safari is private, so your game drive timings are flexible, convenient if traveling with children or if on a honeymoon when you perhaps want to lie in longer on some of the days. You may also choose to have a full day game drive. Return in the evening for dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

Day 3: Enjoy Full day in Masai Mara
Today you have an early rise for your estimated 06.15 am safari game drive during which you will see of Mara’s great wildlife. After a relaxed breakfast, proceed for a transfer to your camp for rest and lunch.
In the afternoon you will go for a game drive which starts at 3.30 pm, allowing you to explore further lying parts of the reserve. You then return back to your camp by 5pm in time for tea or coffee.
Dinner and overnight at Governors Camp.
Day 4: Enjoy a Maasai Village Visit and Nature Walk
Today you may choose to have a morning and afternoon game drive or even head out to the reserve for a long day game excursion with a packed picnic lunch. Optional activities such as the Maasai Village visit and Nature Walk.
During the day you may also choose to go for a traditional Maasai tribe village on the outskirts of the reserve. This village visit which lasts a hour will give you a glimpse into the fascinating way of life of the Maasai, a nomadic warrior tribe of Kenya. During the course of the day, if you choose to book a nature walk, subject to availability, you would enjoy an hour long wail with the resident guide based at the camp or lodge.
The walks allows you to closely observe and learn about the local flora and fauna within the vicinity of the property. Enjoy your afternoon safari game drive in the reserve during which you hopefully get to spot any of your favorite animals which you have missed seeing so far during the trip.
Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight at the cam/lodge.

Day 5: Departure
After a relaxed breakfast, check out of your lodge and proceed with a return transfer back to Nairobi with a brief morning game drive en-route. You are expected to exit the park by 10 am. Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon. Drop off at your hotel, or free onward transfer to the airport for your flight back home or to your next destination.
