DETAILED ITINERARY OF 6 DAYS BEST OF TANZANIA SAFARI

DAY 1: Airport pick-up

On arrival at Julius Nyerere international airport, you will be picked by our safari driver guide and then drive, after a short briefing about the safari you will drive to your hotel in Arusha. Enjoy a restful night as you prepare for the beginning of your adventure the next day.

DAY 2: Tarangire National Park

After having breakfast you will leave your hotel together with your driver guide and depart for Tarangire national park one of the largest national parks in Tanzania, the park is located in the Manyara region and is famous for hosting large herds of elephants and the fascinating baobab tree that are renowned for their mythical powers according to some local cultures. Tarangire national park is crossed by Tarangire River which is the source of water to the animals most especially in the dry season.

Arrive in the park in time for lunch which you will have at your lodge, in the afternoon you will a game drive searching for various animals including lions, elephants, Cape buffalo, Grant’s and Thompson’s gazelle, Burchell’s zebra, giraffe, warthog, cheetah, leopard, hyena, jackal and  African wild dogs among others. Return to your lodge in the evening, have dinner and stay overnight.

DAY 3: Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will checkout of your lodge and depart for Serengeti national park with a picnic lunch in hand, Serengeti national park is an incredible Tanzania Tour destination famed for incredible wildlife, stunning views and the Annual wildebeest migration where over 2 million wildebeests and thousands of gazelles and zebras move across the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem in search for water and pasture. Arrive in the park in time for lunch at your lodge, in the afternoon you will go for a game drive in search for animals such as leopards, lions, wildebeests, elephants, Thomson and grants gazelles, zebras, rhinos among others. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 4: Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will head to the park for a full day of exploring the wilderness of the park on morning and afternoon game drive, during the game drives you will be able to enjoy watching various species of animals such as leopards, lions, wildebeests, elephants, Thomson and grants gazelles, zebras, rhinos among others.

You can also follow the Great Migration trails watching over around 2 million wildebeests, over 200,000 zebras and 300,000 Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelles with over 8000 calves born in the  calving season.

DAY 5: Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast you will drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area another UNSECO World Heritage Site located west of Arusha for a game drive, the area hosts the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world “Ngorongoro Crater”. Ngorongoro Conservation Area has a vast expanse of highland plains and concentration of wildlife such as lions, leopards, rhinos, gazelles, wildebeests, zebras, warthogs, antelopes among others. During the game drive, you will have lunch and go for another game drive. In the evening you will head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 6: Departure   

 After breakfast you will head to the crater for the last game drive of 6 days Best of Tanzania safari watching more of animals living in the crater floor, after the game drive you will exit the crater and head on a journey back to Arusha with your packed lunch. When you arrive in the Arusha, you will be dropped off at the airport for your departure back home or at your desired location.
