All campsites are fitted with clean camp toilets, dustbins and fire pits. However the guests have to carry their own tents and sleeping bags. Campers are also provided with water and firewood for their duration of their stay.

Its located along the Ewaso Nyiro River, Olereai has the two unique features; one being a little island that’s a perfect for a sundowner and other an extended river ideal for fishing. It’s regularly frequented by herds of elephants and impalas.

Ol Pejeta experiences a mild climate and has consistently good camping making any time of year an exciting one for your safari. The best months to camp are September, October, when it’s dry, there’s incredible game viewing and the summer holidays crowds have dispersed. Dry seasons are suitable for camping and good for game viewing in the Ol pejeta conservancy.
How to get to Ol pejeta conservancy.
Ol pejeta can be reached by both road and air means.
Air transport, there is charter and domestic flights. Charter flights are flights that operates on the basis of rented; while domestic flights are flights that do not leave the country.
The easiest way to get to Ol Pejeta is to take one of the daily scheduled flights from Nairobi to Nanyuki airstrip which is a 45 minute drive away. It’s possible to charter flight from any other park to to Ol Pejeta’s airstrip which is currently only open to charter flights. Charter flights are usually booked by tour operators as part of their tour package.
Road transport; If you’re coming from Nairobi, the drive will take about 3-4 hours. The road from Nairobi to Nanyuki is tarmacked although there are parts under construction with the new dual carriage set to reduce the drive to less than 3 hours in the future. Keep in mind that the last 13 kilometers to Ol Pejeta is well maintained all weather road.
Ol Pejeta is the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa and home to two of the world’s last remaining northern white rhinos. It is the only place in Kenya to see chimpanzees, in a sanctuary established to rehabilitate animals rescued from the black market. It has some of the highest predator densities in Kenya, and still manages Avery successful livestock programs. Ol Pejeta also seeks to support the people living around its borders, to ensure wildlife conservation translates to better education, health care and infrastructure for the next generation of wildlife guardians.
