You don’t have to worry about how big the balloon is because the size of the balloon is measured by how much air it can hold. The bigger the amount of air, the more weight the balloon can hold and, by extension, the more people it can carry. At the moment, there is a medium-sized balloon that can carry 8 people and can be used for a variety of things, like low-season trips, private use, wedding proposals, and honeymooners.

For safety reasons, the balloon in Murchison Falls National Park is an Ultra magic type M-160 made in Spain and filed with the Civil Aviation Authority as 5X-JBH. The balloon can fly up to 10,000 feet above sea level and can hold 8 people. The hot air balloon has a license that says it is safe to fly. It is serviced after every flight and kept in good shape by a certified, specialized hot air balloon engineer who follows the manufacturer’s rules. The CAA checks the balloon regularly.
The drivers of the balloon have licenses from the Egyptian and Ugandan governments and have flown for more than 1000 hours. A certified expert taught the ground crew how to do their jobs on the ground.
There are special deals for groups of more than 8 people, and children ages 6 to 12 get 50% off. As a safety measure, though, children under the age of 6 should not fly.
For an early morning flight called the sunrise programme, which starts at 0500hrs, people staying at the northern end of the park are picked up from the Paraa entrance, while people staying at the southern end are taken by UWA speed boats to the northern bank, where they are picked up at the river crossing.
The guests are taken to the place where the balloon will take off, where they can take pictures and watch the balloon fill with air. The pilot then tells them about safety rules, and they take off around 6:00 a.m., just before sunrise.
