Kenya Park / conservation fees 2021 : Kenya is a very spectacular African safari destination comprising many national parks including Amboseli national park, Lake Nakuru national park, Tsavo East national park, Tsavo West national park, Nairobi national park, Nairobi orphanage among others.

All protected areas in Kenya except Maasai Mara national reserve are managed by the Kenya Wildlife Services as the managing authority, Kenya Wildlife Services has a set of drafted national park fees which are charged to individuals and every service happening in Kenya’s protected areas and they are as detailed below

 Useful points to Note

 Entry rates

Entry rates are applicable each and every individual entering Kenya national parks and they rates are valid for 12 hours to individuals staying outside the parks and 24 hours staying inside the parks.

Resident rates are applicable to individuals who are residents of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi. An individual to be considered as a resident is required to present National ID (for Kenyan citizen) and valid passports or works permits. Visitors with no valid passports are required to pay non-resident rates.

Student rates

Student rates are applicable to persons who are aged 3 years but not above 18 years old on a sponsored trip from a recognized learning institution, these persons are required to be in possession of valid Student ID and visiting the parks for pre-arranged school organized trips or for research purposes. For the authorization of student fees, KWS must be informed in 2 weeks period prior to the trip so as it can issue the authorization.

Non-resident rates

Non-Resident rates are applicable to international tourists not living or working in Kenya, these individuals are required to present their valid passports.

Mode of payment

Payments to Kenya national parks are done and accepted in cashless form, payments are done using Mpesa, Visa Cards, MasterCard and direct deposits to KWS Bank accounts.
