LAKE JIPE SAFARI CAMP – TSAVO WEST NATIONAL PARK
Lake Jipe safari camp is a mid range accommodation found along Jipe fresh waters in Tsavo west National Park in Kenya. The camp is located 6 minutes drive Tsavo national park. The camp is situated in an ideal location where guests can get a chance to see variety of animals and birds that usually come to drink water at the lake. You can be at the camp from Nairobi city center in about 4- 5 hours drive to the park and 2 hours from the property to Voi Railway station.
Lake Jipe Safari camp consists of 8 spacious and comfortable raised rooms with the view of Lake and wildlife Reflecting African traditional building style with grass thatched roofs and local woods . Each Room is furnished with en-suite facilities like Flushing Toilets, bathrooms with hot and cold showers, beds wrapped with Mosquito nets, tables, wooden chairs, Televisions , solar energy available, work desk, free bottled water and many more facilities. Tents have sitting areas, Private verandas, and overlooking the great views over the wildlife drinking water at the lake and surrounding areas.
Rooms are well equipped with comfortable beds containing queen sized beds. There are campfires where guests relax and share experience about the safari not only that it also provide warmth to visitors in cold days and in darkness. Rooms are in different categories and sizes depending on singles, doubles, twins, family with different costs ranging from 200$ per night and above. The rate keeps changing as they go high during peak season than in low season.
Lake Jipe safari camp offers more services and facilities which include; A restaurant in the main building with the view of the river that serves different meals both international and African- inspired meals that meets guests choice ; breakfast , picnic lunch and dinners served by well trained, friendly and welcoming staff ,they also serve bush diners , A well- stocked bar with variety of refreshment both alcoholic and nonalcoholic , you relax and sip the monk tail while overlooking the spectacular view over the lake , wild life and surrounding area , A blue water swimming pool that cools off the hot afternoon of Tsavo, Free parking space available, offers airport pick -ups and drop-offs, Laundry services available , WIFI available in the rooms that enables visitors to keep in touch with their families and friends, The camp has a massage room where the guest relax their minds, camping offered , Excellent and comfortable clean beddings, Craft shop available at the camp with more African hand craft gifts like shoes, clothes , safari essentials .
Tsavo national park is made of two separate parks located in Kenya Province between Nairobi city and Mombasa, The Park is considered to be among the largest parks in Kenya covering the total area of 22,000km squared. The two different parks in Tsavo national park include; Tsavo east national park which is the oldest and largest park in Kenya found in the semi-arid areas of Taru desert occupying the total area of 13,747 kilometers squared and Tsavo west national park also covers the total area of 9,065 kilometers squared.
The Two park are most visited with different categories of accommodations; Budget, Mid- range and Luxury accommodation that are convenient and affordable to visitors visiting the park. Tsavo national park has a variety of wildlife like; Elephants, Rhinos, Hippos, Buffaloes, Zebras , Leopards, Giraffes , Cheetahs, Lions Etc and over 500 species of birds like; ostriches, starling , weaver birds, Kingfishers, hornbills etc.
