MAHALI NZURI CAMP –MASAAI MARA NATIONAL PARK KENYA
Mahali Nzuri camp is a newly built luxury accommodation (4-star) situated in motorogi conservancy on the northern edge of Kenya’s famous masaai Mara Reserve. The camp is set on the 13,500 acres of bush landscape neighboring olare orok conservancy (12 miles from Masaai Mara national park) in the newest properties of the virgin edition portfolio. The word” Mahali Nzuri “means a beautiful place, the camp is situated in an ideal place and in the right path of the annual Great Migration. You can be at the camp by road or air transport taking approximately 5-6 hours (250km) drive from Nairobi city center to Masaai mara national park and an hour to fly from Nairobi to the close Olare orok airstrip then 5 miles to be transferred to the lodge.
Mahali Nzuri Camp consists of 12 luxury super stylish en suite tents of which six are on the side of the main tent just 5 minute walk. Ten of the suites offers king twin beds and 2 of the suites have comfortable poster king sized bed with a living room containing sofa beds extra for children. Tents reflect traditional building stylish with comfort proximity. Each tent is well elevated with raised wooden platform, decorated and furnished with en-suite facilities of clean private flush toilets, inside hot and cold showers open to the sky, dressing tables, mosquito nets, Deck chair, Wooden Tables, Free bottled water in the rooms and many others. Each tent has sitting areas, Private balconies and verandas with vanity deck that give a great views over the savannah, game species and surrounding areas. There are cracking fireplaces at the camp where guests relax and share more experience about the safaris not only that it also provides warmth to visitors during cold nights. The lodge offers tents suitable for family as well as individuals with single bed, double beds, twin, and triple beds. They cost 300$ per night and above, during high season rate is always high than in low season rated.
Mahali Nzuri camp offers more services and facilities which include; A spacious restaurant that serves global cuisines both international ( vegetarians and non- vegetarians) and Kenyan cuisine to meets guests choice ; English breakfast , picnic lunch and dining areas that serves both in and outdoor diners . Masaai mara national park is among the largest and most visited park in Kenya know of its incredible density and variety of animals . it is situated 270km north of Nairobi in Kenya occupying the total area of 1,510 km squared . There are many over 1 million tribes in Kenya, Masaai are initial and local group of semi –Nomadic people that settled in Kenya and the northern part of Tanzania. Maasai Mara National park is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border.
The park contains over a million of animals that include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos and 600 species of bird and 60 species of raptors in different colors. Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration from Serengeti national park during July, August and October .The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills, and is crossed by the Mara and Talek river.
