MITI MINGI ECO CAMP – MASAAI MARA NATIONAL PARK
Miti Mingi Eco Camp – Masaai Mara National Park : Miti mingi eco camp is a budget accommodation found outside masaai mara national park on the banks of olalaimutia River , 500 meters from the olalaimutiek masaai mara entrance in kenya. The camp is set in the canopy of indigenous trees (miti mingi) meaning many trees where the name came from. Its is convenient and affordable for budget guests with stunning view of the canopy and awakening sounds of the whispering birds in the trees and surrounding areas.
You can be at the camp by road or air transport taking approximately 5-6 hours (250km) drive from Nairobi city center to Masaai mara national park and an hour to fly from Nairobi to the close keekerok airstrip then 30 minutes drive to be transferred to the camp.
Miti mingi eco camp consists of 30 spacious and comfortable rooms raised on a wooden deck overlooking Ololaimutia River reflecting traditional building styles with modern comfort. Each Tent is well elevated, decorated and furnished with en-suite facilities like clean private flush toilets, hot and cold showers, dressing tables, mosquito nets, Televisions, Deck chairs, work Decks, Wooden Tables, Free bottled water in the rooms and many others. Each tent has a sitting areas, verandas and private balconies that give a better view over the indigenous trees and surrounding areas.
Tents are equipped with comfortable clean beddings containing queen sized beds. There are fireplaces at the camp that provides warmth to visitors during cold nights. The camp offers tents suitable for family as well as individuals ie single bed, double beds, twin ,and triple beds . They cost 150$ per night and above, during high season rate is always high than in low season rate

Masaai mara national park is among the largest and most visited park in Kenya know of its incredible density and variety of animals . it is situated 270km north of Nairobi in Kenya occupying the total area of 1,510 km squared . There are many over 1 million tribes in Kenya, Masaai are initial and local group of semi –Nomadic people that settled in Kenya and the northern part of Tanzania. Maasai Mara National park is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border.
The park contains over a million of animals that include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos and 600 species of bird and 60 species of raptors in different colors. Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration from Serengeti national park during July, August and October .
The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills, and is crossed by the Mara and Talek river.
