You can be at the camp by road or air transport taking approximately 5-6 hours (250km) drive from Nairobi city center to Masaai mara national park and an hour to fly from Nairobi to the close Ngerende airstrip then 2km to be transferred to the lodge. Ngerende island lodge consists of 7 luxury and comfortable en-suite tents raised on a wooden deck overlooking Mara River and wilderness reflecting traditional building styles with modern comfort and ambience. Each tent is well elevated with wooden platforms, decorated and furnished with en-suite facilities of clean private flush toilets, safari style hot and cold showers, mosquito nets, Deck chairs, work Decks, Wooden Tables, free toiletries, Free bottled water in the tents, white pillows and duvets and many others. Each tent has sitting areas, Private verandas and vanity deck that give a better view over river, wildlife viewing since the lodge is in the major crossing point and surrounding areas. Tents are equipped with comfortable clean beddings containing queen sized beds. There are fireplaces at the camp where guests relax and share stories about safaris; it also provides warmth to visitors during cold nights. The camp offers tents suitable for family as well as individuals with single bed, double beds, twin for couple and triple/ family tents. They cost 400$ per night and above, during high season rate is always high than in low season rate

The park contains over a million of animals that include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos and 600 species of bird and 60 species of raptors in different colors. Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration from Serengeti national park during July, August and October .The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills, and is crossed by the Mara and Talek river.
