SATAO CAMP –TSAVO EAST NATIONAL PARK
Satao camp is considered to be a mid -range accommodation (3-star) found in the heart of Tsavo East national park in southern part of Kenya. The camp is situated amongst the trees and surrounded by water-hole that attracts wide range of animal for their drink and bathing. . The camp is situated 50 km from Mombasa main road. One can be at the camp by road from Nairobi city taking about 326km and 160km from Mombasa , and an hour to fly to the close Voi airstrip them few minutes to be transferred to the camp . Satao camp is convenient and affordable to tourists who want to discover the park with its spectacular views while on Kenya wildlife Safaris .
Satao camp consists of 20 comfortable safari style tents of which 16 are tents and 4 are suites en-suite rooms with the view of the waterhole that are built in African Traditional style with natural materials of grass thatched roof and local woods with a comfortable proximity. Tents are well furnished and decorated with tranquility and en suite private facilities of flushing toilet , hot and cold showers/bathtubs , mosquito nets , extinguishers, hair driers, free bottled water in the rooms , to mention but a few. Tent s have sitting areas , verandas and private wooden balconies that gives a stunning view of the water hole, wildlife elephants visiting the camp and surrounding areas. Rooms are well equipped with comfortable beds containing queen sized beds and wooden ceiling fans. There are campfires where guests relax and share stories not only that it also provides warmth to visitors in cold days. The camp offers singles, doubles, twins, triples rooming option with different costs ranging from 200$ per night and above. The room rate keeps changing as they go high during peak season than in low season.
Satao camp offers more services and facilities which include; A restaurant in the main building with the view of the water hole that serves different meals both international and African- inspired meals that meets guests choice ; Continental breakfast , picnic lunch and dinner in the main building served by well trained, friendly and welcoming staff ,they also serve bush diners.
A well -stocked bar with variety of refreshment both alcoholic and nonalcoholic , you relax and sip the monk tail while overlooking the spectacular view of the water hole , wildlife that roam around the camp and surrounding area , Free parking space available, offers airport pick -ups and drop-offs, Laundry services available.

Tsavo national park is made of two separate parks located in Kenya Province between Nairobi city and Mombasa, The Park is considered to be among the largest parks in Kenya covering the total area of 22,000km squared. The two different parks in Tsavo national park include; Tsavo east national park which is the oldest and largest park in Kenya found in the semi-arid areas of Taru desert occupying the total area of 13,747 kilometers squared and Tsavo west national park also covers the total area of 9,065 kilometers squared.
The Two park are most visited with different categories of accommodations; Budget, Mid- range and Luxury accommodation that are convenient and affordable to visitors visiting the park.
