SENTINEL MARA CAMP- MASAAI MARA NATIONAL PARK
Sentinel Mara Camp is a small owner run mid range accommodation found in the riverine forest along the banks of Mara River in famous Masaai Mara national park in southwest Kenya region. The camp is located close to Musiara marsh sector. One can be at the camp by road or air transport taking approximately 5-6 hours (250km) drive from Nairobi city center to Masaai mara national park and an hour to fly from Nairobi to the close Musiara airstrip then few minutes to be transferred to the camp. The camp is convenient and business friendly to guests who want to discover and explore the endless .
Sentinel Mara Camp consists of 9 comfortable and Spacious rooms all with the view of the wilderness and Mara River reflecting traditional building styles . Each room is well decorated and furnished with en-suite facilities of clean private flush toilets, inside hot and cold showers , mosquito nets, Deck chair, Wooden Tables, Free bottled water in the rooms and many others. Each tent has sitting areas, Private balconies and verandas with vanity deck that give great views over Mara River , the wilderness and surrounding areas. Rooms are equipped with comfortable clean beddings containing queen sized beds. There are cracking campfires where guests relax and share more experience about the safaris not only that it also provides warmth to visitors during cold nights. The lodge offers tents suitable for family as well as individuals with single bed, double beds, twin, and triple beds. They cost 200$ per night and above, during high season rate is always high than in low season rated.
Sentinel Mara camp offers more services and facilities which include; A spacious restaurant that serves global cuisines both international ( vegetarians and non- vegetarians) and Kenyan cuisine to meets guests choice ; English breakfast while facing the river , picnic lunch and dinners in the dining areas that serves both in and outdoor diners . Masaai mara national park is among the largest and most visited park in Kenya know of its incredible density and variety of animals . it is situated 270km north of Nairobi in Kenya occupying the total area of 1,510 km squared . There are many over 1 million tribes in Kenya, Masaai are initial and local group of semi –Nomadic people that settled in Kenya and the northern part of Tanzania. Maasai Mara National park is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. The park contains over a million of animals that include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos and 600 species of bird and 60 species of raptors in different colors. Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration from Serengeti national park during July, August and October .
The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills, and is crossed by the Mara and Talek river.
