THE JOY HOTEL- TSAVO EAST NATIONAL PARK
The Joy Hotel is a mid –range accommodation (3 star) found in Voi , 400 metres from the Voi Bus station, 72 km south wests from Tsavo East National Park in Kenya region. The lodge is located 10 minutes -walk from Voi City Center and Voi war cemetery is less than 1 km from the property. One can be at the Hotel from Nairobi by road taking about 5-6 hours drive (326 km) then an hour and half to fly from Nairobi to the close voi airstrip then few minutes to be transferred to the Hotel. The Hotel is convenient, business friendly and located in the perfect location overlooking the vast expanse of African bush and herds of animal roaming beneath the lodge.
The Joy Hotel consists of over 30 elegant and comfortable en-suite rooms with the view of the park that are built in modern building style with modern comfort. Rooms are well furnished and decorated with tranquility and en suite private facilities like flushing toilet , hot and cold showers/bathtubs , mosquito nets , flat screen TVs , satellites , extinguishers, hair driers, free bottled water in the rooms ,free toiletries etc. Rooms have sitting areas, verandas and private balconies that give a stunning view of the wilderness and surrounding areas. Rooms are well equipped with comfortable beds containing queen sized beds and wooden ceiling fans. The hotel offers fireplaces in the living room that provide warmth to visitors in cold days. Rooms are in different categories and sizes; singles, doubles, twins, triples with different costs ranging from 200$ per night and above. Tsavo national park is made of two separate parks located in Kenya Province between Nairobi city and Mombasa, The Park is considered to be among the largest parks in Kenya covering the total area of 22,000km squared. The two different parks in Tsavo national park include; Tsavo east national park which is the oldest and largest park in Kenya found in the semi-arid areas of Taru desert occupying the total area of 13,747 kilometers squared and Tsavo west national park also covers the total area of 9,065 kilometers squared. The Two park are most visited with different categories of accommodations; Budget, Mid- range and Luxury accommodation that are convenient and affordable to visitors visiting the park.
