Detailed itinerary

Day 1; transfer to Murchison falls national park via zziwa

transfer to Murchison falls: You will start your safari with a welcome by your guide who will meet you up at the airport or at your current location and you will also be briefed about the safari. You will continue your journey to Murchison falls national park with a stopover at Zziwa rhino sanctuary. You will have your lunch before proceeding to spend time with the endangered rhinos. You will be briefed about the rules and regulations of spending time with the rhinos and then you will be guided to where the rhinos stay. After this experience, you will continue to Murchison falls national park and you will have an en route game drive as you continue to your lodge where you will check in and have dinner and spend the night at Paraa safari lodge.

Day 2; morning and evening game drives

morning game drives: You will start your day with breakfast served at your lodge and then after breakfast you will continue for your morning game drive. During your morning game drive, you will see a variety of wildlife species as they trot around the national park, hunt and graze since they are very active in the morning.
evening game drives: After your morning game drive, you will return to your lodge for lunch and to relax. Another game viewing experience awaits you in the evening where you will enjoy the beautiful sunset as you look out for more wildlife species which include some of the big five that can be spotted in Murchison falls national park such as lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos as well as other wildlife species that include giraffes, elands, waterbucks, antelopes, warthogs, and different bird species. You will return to your lodge for your dinner and overnight at Paraa safari lodge.

Day 3; top of the falls hike and evening boat cruise

top of the falls hike: An adventure of hiking to the top of the falls awaits you on the 3rd day of your Uganda safari which will start with breakfast served at your lodge. During your top of the falls hike, you will enjoy beautiful views of the surroundings and the rest of the national park as well as different attractions such as the Murchison falls, the Victoria Nile among others.
evening boat cruise: You will return to your lodge where lunch will be served and you will also relax in the comfort of your lodge. You will also engage in an evening boat cruise to spend the evening relaxing on the waters of the Victoria Nile and you will see different bird species as well as wildlife species in the water such as hippos and Nile crocodiles as well as grazing in the distant savannah plains near the water shores. You will be driven back to your lodge and you will have your dinner and spend the night at Paraa safari lodge.

Day 4; transfer to kibale national park

transfer to kibale: You will have breakfast at your lodge in Murchison falls national park and then you will check out of the lodge as you prepare for your journey to Kibale national park. You will drive to Hoima town where you will have lunch before continuing your journey. You will enjoy many scenic views during your drive to Kibale national park such as the tea plantations as well as scenic hills as well as the beautiful Fort portal city and then you will proceed to your lodge where you will check in as you prepare for your dinner and spend the night at Chimpanzee guesthouse.

Day 5; chimpanzee trekking and visit to crater lakes

chimpanzee trekking: Another day of your 15 days Best of Uganda vacation will start with a heavy breakfast served at your lodge as you prepare for your chimpanzee trekking activity. You will start the activity with briefing at the national park headquarters as you get to know the rules and regulations as well as other guidelines of the chimpanzee trekking activity. You will proceed in groups into Kibale forest as you search for the chimpanzees which can be seen in the forest. A variety of primate species can also be seen in the forest during your chimpanzee trek such as black and white colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, grey cheeked monkeys among others.
visit to crater lakes: You will return to your lodge and have your lunch after your chimpanzee trekking activity. You will also have a visit to the crater lakes where you will enjoy the scenic views around and after this experience; you will be driven back to your lodge for your dinner and to spend the night at Chimpanzee guesthouse.

Day 6; transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park and evening game drive

transfer to Queen Elizabeth: You will start your day with breakfast before checking out of your lodge in Kibale national park. You will continue your journey to Queen Elizabeth national park where you will have an en route game drive in the national park as you continue to your lodge where you will check in at your lodge and also enjoy your lunch.
evening game drive: Later, you will have an evening game drive in Queen Elizabeth national park and you will visit different attractions such as ishasha sector which is known for tree climbing lions. You will also see different wildlife species such as antelopes, buffalos, waterbucks and many others as you return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Pumba cottages.

Day 7; Visit to kazinga channel and kalinzu forest

Visit to kazinga channel: Breakfast at your lodge will be served before you start your adventure of exploring Queen Elizabeth national park and its different attractions which include the kazinga channel which is formed where Lake George and Lake Albert meet. You will have a boat ride along the kazinga channel during which you will see a variety of bird species along the water shores such as hammerkops, kingfishers, cormorants, fish eagles as well as different wildlife species which can be seen in the distant plains near the kazinga channel as well as in the channel itself.
kalinzu forest: You will return to your lodge and you will have your lunch and also relax. You will also visit Kalinzu forest which is another attraction in Queen Elizabeth national park and you will engage in a nature walk as you enjoy the beauty of nature in the forest. Dinner will be served at your lodge and you will also spend the night as the day before at Pumba cottages.

Day 8; morning game drive and transfer to bwindi national park

morning game drive: After breakfast at your lodge in Queen Elizabeth national park, you will check out of the lodge and proceed for a morning game drive to see a variety of wildlife species which are very active during the morning and can easily be seen.
transfer to bwindi national park: You will continue your drive to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park where you will check in at your lodge and have your lunch and also relax at the lodge as you wait to enjoy your dinner and spend the night at Buhoma haven lodge.

Day 9; gorilla trekking

gorilla trekking: You will have breakfast at your lodge in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park as you prepare for your gorilla trekking activity which starts with your guide driving you to the national park headquarters where you will be briefed about gorilla trekking. After your briefing, you will be divided into groups then you will proceed to adventure into Bwindi forest following different trails as you look for the endangered gorillas. You will also see different primate species in the forest as well as a variety of bird and butterfly species. You will spend about 1 hour with the gorillas and after this gorilla trekking experience, you will return to your lodge where you will have lunch.

Batwa Tour: You will have an optional community visit during which you will interact with the batwa community who have a unique and diverse culture. You will also engage in a variety of activities during your cultural interaction with the batwa such as fruit gathering, watching traditional dance performances, seeing local arts and crafts among others and later you will return to your where you will relax and also spend the night at Buhoma haven lodge.

Day 10; transfer to Lake Bunyonyi and boat cruise

transfer to Lake Bunyonyi: You will have an early breakfast on day 10 of 15 days Best of Uganda vacation at your lodge in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park before checking out of the lodge and continuing your journey to Lake Bunyonyi for another adventurous experience.
boat cruise: You will check-in at your lodge with beautiful views of the lake and have your lunch. You will also engage in a boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi which has blue water as well as a number of islands such as the punishment island which is an island that was used to punish girls from the local community for getting pregnant before marriage as you also enjoy the beautiful views of the terraced hills and later, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Arcadia cottages.

Day 11; transfer to Lake Mburo national park and evening game drive

transfer to Lake Mburo: Another day of your safari will start with breakfast at your lodge and then you will check out of the lodge as you prepare for your drive to Lake Mburo national park. You will start your adventure at the national park by checking in at your lodge and having your lunch.
evening game drive: You will have an evening game drive to explore the savannah of the national park as you search for different wildlife species which live in the national park such as zebras, buffalos, antelopes, warthogs as well as a variety of bird species as you enjoy the beautiful sunset after which you will return to your lodge for dinner and to spend the night at Rwonyo rest camp.

Day 12; morning game drive and nature walk

morning game drive: You will have breakfast at your lodge as you prepare for your morning game drive in Lake Mburo national park to search for the various wildlife species which graze around the open savannah plains of the national park and are very active during the morning.
nature walk: After your morning game drive, you will return to your lodge and enjoy your lunch. After lunch, you will spend some relaxing time at your lodge and later, you will go for a nature walk to get a close experience of the surroundings of the national park on foot and see the different attractions in the national park such as the wildlife species as well as Lake Mburo among others. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight as the night before at Rwonyo rest camp.

Day 13; transfer to Entebbe and visit to the reptile village

transfer to Entebbe and visit to the reptile village: Your day will start with breakfast served at your lodge after which you will check out of the lodge and have an en route game drive and continue with your journey to Entebbe where you will check in at your hotel and have some lunch. After lunch, you will visit the reptile village to see the different reptiles which can be seen in different parts of Uganda and later, you will return to your hotel and have dinner and spend the night at 2 friend’s hotel.

Day 14; transfer to Ngamba island sanctuary

transfer to Ngamba island sanctuary: After having breakfast at your hotel, you will continue for an adventure to Ngamba island sanctuary where you will get experience with chimpanzees as you watch the chimps living their normal life and enjoy being fed. You will spend more time at the sanctuary before you return to your hotel for dinner and to spend the night at 2 friend’s hotel.

Day 15: Departure

Departure: On the last day of your safari, you will have breakfast and then check out of your hotel and then you will be driven to your preferred location which will mark the end of your safari.
