Day 1: Pick up and Fly to Amboseli – Afternoon Game Drive
After breakfast at your hotel in Nairobi or upon landing in Nairobi at Jomo Kenyatta National Park, you will be warmly welcomed by our company representative and be driven to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport. There you will catch a scheduled light flight to Amboseli National Park, as you descend, lookout for the scenic view of Mount Kilimanjaro. On landing you will be met by your private driver-guide and embark on a morning game drive through the savannah plains of Amboseli.
Enjoy a scenic sight of the snow-capped summit of Mount Kilimanjaro – the tallest mountain in Africa, then head to your lodge for lunch and short rest. In the afternoon, you will return to the park for a more extensive game drive.
Amboseli National Park forms part of a greater ecosystem that straddles the nearby Kenya – Tanzania border, the park covers an area of 392 square kilometers. Amboseli has the highest density of African elephants in the country, among them are mature bulls with impressively large tusks. Elephants are incredibly intelligent creatures which lives in complex social groups. Communicating by rumbles, trumpets and inaudible vibrations, their ability to shape their environment is second only to man.
As the sun sets, you will return to your lodge in time for dinner, then have an overnight.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive – Fly Back to Nairobi
Wake up early for a cup of coffee and head out for a morning game drive in Amboseli National Park. Enjoy the spectacle of an African sunrise over the Amboseli plains and Mount Kilimanjaro, the morning hours are cool providing opportunities to find prides of lions feasting on their latest kill. If you are keen on birds, you guide will take you to Enkongo Narok Swamp, home to hundreds of flamingoes and a variety of waterfowl. Amboseli is home to over 350 bird species.
With the towering Mount Kilimanjaro forming the quintessential Amboseli backdrop, the landscape is always fascinating, with plenty to offer to photographers. Iconic images of swimming elephants, browsing giraffes, yawning lions, and fleet-footed antelopes will soon fill up your memory cards and well as your soul.
Return to your lodge for a full breakfast, then be transferred to the airstrip to catch your afternoon flight back to Wilson Airstrip in Nairobi. On landing, you will be met by our representative and be driven either to your hotel in Nairobi City or to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight back home bringing your 2 Day Amboseli Flying Safari to an end.
