DETAILED ITINERARY OF 4 DAYS TANZANIA WILDLIFE BUDGET SAFARI

Day 1: arrival and transfer to Tarangire national park

Upon your arrival in Tanzania using Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met our representative and after a short safari briefing you will be transferred to Tarangire national park, together with your packed lunch you will pass through the open plains south of Arusha Town. On your arrival you will check into your lodge and then drive out to the park for a game drive watching one of the greatest concentrations of wildlife living in the savannah plains and wetland of the park. Some of the animals you will watch include herds of elephants, lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, warthogs, antelopes and many more. Return to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Accommodation: Tarangire Baobab Tree Camp

Day 2: morning game drive and transfer to Ngorongoro crater and have an evening game drive 

After breakfast, you will head to the park for a morning game drive enjoy the beauty of the park’s landscape dotted by baobab trees and various animals such as lions, elephants, warthogs, hartebeests, wildebeests and many birds for the last time. Then depart the park for Ngorongoro crater passing through the forested slopes of Ngorongoro Crater Highlands before arriving at the rim of the Ngorongoro crater the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. On your arrival you will check into your lodge, have lunch then descend to the crater for a game drive, on this game drive you will have an opportunity to see the big 5 – lions, leopards, rare black rhino, buffaloes and elephants together with herds of wildebeests, zebras, Thomson gazelles and many more. Then return to your lodge, have dinner and spend overnight while on your Tanzania Safari.

Day 3: morning game drive and transfer to Serengeti national park

After breakfast, checkout of your lodge then descend to the crater floor for an en-route game drive watching many animals such as lions, zebras, warthogs, elephants and many more then head to Serengeti national park. On your way you will have a visit to the Olduvai Gorge where you will witness the fossils of a distant ancestor of man believed to be over 1.8 million years old discovered by Dr Leakey and his wife.

Arrive in Serengeti national park at round noon, have lunch, rest for a while then head to the park for an evening game drive exploring the rolling plains of Serengeti watching a number of animals such as wildebeests, elands, warthogs, elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, cheetahs and the greatest wildlife spectacles in the world – the great wildebeest migration. Return to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 4: departure

Wake up early and head to the park for an early morning game drive which is a perfect chance to watch predators such as lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, African wild dogs and many more. After the game drive you will return to your lodge, have late breakfast then checkout and head on a drive back to Arusha for a drop off either at your lodge or at the airport for your departure flight.
