Detailed Itinerary of 7 Days Tanzania Safari

Day 1: Arrival, Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast or arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide and after a short briefing, you will embark on a journey to Lake Manyara National Park.

Lake Manyara National Park lies between Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater, right among the 400 meters deep Great Rift Valley. This beautiful park boasts a variety of landscapes that attract many different animals. On a game drive, you will explore the park, pas through a dense rainforest with hundreds of monkeys and birds, and see herds of elephants and other wildlife species as well as birds including flamingos on the shores of Lake Manyara.

Day 2: Transfer to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will meet your guide, bid farewell to your lodge and embark on a journey to Serengeti National Park with a journey through the Ngorongoro Highlands, and through the Ngorongoro Crater with a stop at the Olduvai Gorge.

Arrive in the park in time for lunch at a picnic site, then go on your first game drive in Serengeti plains in search for the big five and other wildlife species including the wildebeests, giraffes, zebras among others.

Day 3-4: Serengeti National Park

These two days are dedicated to exploring Serengeti National Park.

This Tanzania incredible safari is widely known as the place to go on safari, mainly because of the Great Migration that passes through here. The enormous, stampeding herds are impressive, as are the vast amount of predators that live here: over four thousands lions, 225 cheetahs, a thousand leopards, 3500 hyenas and hundreds of wild dogs.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, you will bid farewell and embark on a journey to the famous Ngorongoro Conservation Area – one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders. On arrival, descend into the crater floor for a game drive.

The Ngorongoro Crater was formed two million years ago when vast Volcano erupted. The fertile lava has created a unique ecosystem, now home to the highest concentration of animals found anywhere in Africa. Once in the crater, thousands of animals such as lions, zebras, buffaloes and black rhinos surround you, and the views are magical.

Day 6: Tarangire National Park

Enjoy breakfast, then head out to Tarangire National Park for another doze of Tanzania adventure. Tarangire National Park I well known for its big herds of elephants and the huge amount of giant baobab trees which can live for hundreds of years and are actually a source of water for elephants in the dry season as they have a special technique to draw water from them.

Besides, the Tarangire River is the only source of water in the park and the neighbouring area, which is why in this season in Tarangire you can see groups of up to 250 elephants along other wildlife species.

Day 7: Departure

Today is your last day of 7 Days Tanzania Safari. After breakfast, you will embark on a journey back to Arusha where you will be dropped off at Kilimanjaro International Airport to catch a flight back home.
