Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Murchison
- Pick up and transfer to Murchison: Pick up on the first day of your 9 days Uganda safari tour will be at the airport or at your current location and your guide will welcome you and brief you about your safari. After the briefing, you will proceed to one of Uganda’s oldest national parks which is Murchison falls national park. You will have an en-route game drive where you will enjoy a variety of wildlife species as you enjoy the beautiful scenery and your surroundings in the national park as you continue to your lodge for check-in and to have your lunch. You will spend the rest of the evening relaxing at your lodge where you will also be served with your dinner and spend the night at Paraa safari lodge.
Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
- Morning game drive: Breakfast will be served to you at your lodge in Murchison falls national park as you prepare for your morning game drive. You will see a variety of wildlife species which are very active during the morning hours of day as well as different bird species. You will see wildlife species such as elephants, giraffes, hartebeests, waterbucks, buffalos, lions, leopards, dikdik, warthogs among others. You will return to your lodge where you will have your lunch after your morning game drive. You will spend some leisure time relaxing at your lodge after your lunch as you prepare for your next activity of the day.
- afternoon boat cruise: In the evening, you will have an evening boat ride along the Victoria Nile as you watch the beautiful water birds and wildlife species grazing along the shores of the Nile and swimming along your boat such as hippos and Nile crocodiles. You will also see more wildlife species grazing in the distant savannah plains where you will enjoy watching the beautiful sunset on your way back to your lodge where you will be served with your dinner and overnight as the day before at Paraa safari lodge.
Day 3: Top of the falls hike and Evening game drive
- Top of the falls hike: On the 3rd day of your safari, you will have your breakfast at your lodge as you prepare for your top of the falls hike. You will enjoy seeing the beautiful views and the scenery of the rest of Murchison falls national park during your hike. You will follow different trails during your hike in the company of your ranger guide and you will see attractions such as the thunderous Murchison falls which are the much sort after attraction of this national park. You will return to your lodge after your hike and you will relax as you enjoy your lunch.
- Evening game drive: Later in the evening, you will have another adventure of wildlife viewing in the vast savannah of Murchison falls national park as you search for the different wildlife species which you will see grazing and roaming in the national park such as kudus, buffalos, giraffes, waterbucks, elephants, lions, warthogs among others and after this experience, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Paraa safari lodge.
Day 4: Transfer to Kibale national park
- Transfer to Kibale: You will start your day with breakfast served at your lodge before checking out of the lodge in Murchison falls national park. You will embark on your journey to Kibale national park with a stop for lunch in Hoima town as you enjoy the beauty of the countryside. After lunch, you will proceed to Kibale national park where you will check in at your lodge and relax as you wait for your dinner and overnight at Chimpanzee guest house.
Day 5; chimpanzee trekking and visit of crater lakes
- Chimpanzee trekking: You will engage in your chimpanzee trekking activity in Kibale national park after having your breakfast at your lodge. You will be driven to the park headquarters where you will be briefed by the national park officials about your chimpanzee trekking activity. After the briefing, you will continue for your adventure in Kibale forest after being divided into groups and you will see a variety of primate and bird species during your trek. Some of the primate species you will see during your chimpanzee trekking activity apart from the chimpanzees swinging in the trees include black and white colobus monkeys, grey cheeked mangabeys, red tailed monkeys, vervet monkeys among others.
- visit of crater lakes: You will return to your lodge for lunch after your chimpanzee trekking activity and you will also have some rest at the lodge. Later on the fifth day of your safari, you will have a visit to the crater lakes and also enjoy the beautiful scenery around you. You will return to your lodge after your visit to the crater lakes and you will have your dinner and overnight as the night before at Chimpanzee guest house.
Day 6; transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park and evening game drive
- Transfer to Queen: After waking up on the 6th day of your safari, you will have your breakfast and you will proceed to check out of your lodge as you prepare for your drive to another popular national park in Uganda which is Queen Elizabeth national park.
- Evening game drive: You will check-in at your lodge in Queen Elizabeth national park and enjoy your lunch. After having some rest in the comfort of your lodge, you will have an evening game drive to explore more of the wilderness of this national park known for its tree-climbing lions as well as a variety of attractions such as the ishasha sector and the Kazinga channel. You will enjoy the beautiful sunset as you look out for different wildlife species in the national park and after this activity, you will continue your drive back to your lodge where your dinner will be served and you will spend the night at Pumba cottages.
Day 7: Boat cruise and transfer to Bwindi national park
- Boat cruise: You will have a morning boat cruise after breakfast and checking out of your lodge in Queen Elizabeth national park. You will enjoy a boat ride along the Kazinga channel where lakes Edward and George meet. You will see a variety of wildlife species and bird species during your boat ride along the shores of the water and in the water where wildlife species such as hippos and Nile crocodiles swim close to your boat and some of the water birds you will also see include cormorants, fish eagles, hammerkops, king fishers among others as they feed and drink along the shores of the lake along with herds of buffaloes.
- Transfer to Bwindi national park: You will continue your journey to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park after your boat ride and you will check-in at your lodge and have lunch as well as relax at your lodge as you prepare for your dinner and to spend the night at Buhoma haven lodge.
Day 8: Gorilla trekking and batwa experience
- Gorilla trekking: You will start your day with breakfast served at your lodge in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park. After breakfast, you will be driven to the park headquarters for your briefing for gorilla trekking where you will be told the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking as well as more basic information before heading into the impenetrable forest in the company of park rangers. During your gorilla trekking experience, you will see a variety of bird species in the forest as you follow different trails in search of the endangered gorilla species and you will be allowed to spend about 1 hour in the company of these magnificent creatures before returning to your briefing point where your guide will be waiting to drive you back to your lodge for a late lunch.

- Batwa experience: You will have an experience of interacting with the batwa community who were forest dwellers who depend on Bwindi forest for survival since they are fruit gatherers and hunters and also have a unique culture. You will get to engage in a variety of activities such as food preparation, traditional dance performances among other activities. After your cultural experience, you will return to your lodge for dinner and spend the night as the day before at Buhoma haven lodge.
Day 9: Return to Entebbe
- Return to Entebbe: On the last day of your safari, you will be served with breakfast at your lodge and then you will check out of your lodge as you prepare for your drive back to Entebbe. You will have a stop in Mbarara for lunch and after lunch; you will proceed to Entebbe where your guide will drop you off at your preferred location which will be the end of your safari.
