Lakira Camp – Lake Nakuru National Park : Lakira camp is a mid-range accommodation (3 star) found on the shores of lake Nakuru and at the edge of Lake Nakuru national park in Kenya country. The camp is situated inside the park just 160 Kilometers north west of Nairobi town. The camp is deep in the wilderness convenient to guests who want to be free from noisy from the city. One can be at hotel by road from Nairobi city center taking about 2-3 hours’ drive while 45 minutes to fly from Nairobi to the close Nakuru airstrip then few minutes to be transferred to the camp.

Lakira camp is affordable and friendly to the guests visiting lake Nakuru National Park with its stunning views of Lake Nakuru , the park and surrounding areas.
Lakira camp contains 6 spacious and comfortable raised tents reflecting Kenyan traditional building style with elevated raised platform . Tents are well decorated and furnished with private en- suite facilities like eco – Flushing toilets, hot and cold separate showers , beds wrapped with mosquito nets , flat screen TVs, free toiletries , free bottled water in the rooms , extinguishers, private balconies sitting areas, terraces overlooking the beautiful lake Nakuru .

Tents are well equipped with comfortable and excellent beds with clean and washed beddings with ceiling fans. There are campfires that offer warmth during cold nights. Room varies in different sizes ; single , doubles , twins, triples, etc with different rates ranging from 200$ per person per night and sometimes rate goes slightly high during peak season than in low season .

Lake Nakuru is situated in the southern part of Kenya and it is the rift valley soda lake covering 1,754 m above the sea level. The lake is shallow and surrounded by wooden and busy grass land and protected by Lake Nakuru National Park. The lodge is in Nakuru county on Nakuru- Nairobi highway. The park is small covering the total area of 188 kilo meters squared.
The park offers a variety number of animalslike; Impalas, antelopes, Buffaloes, wathrogs, waterbucks, white rhinos, Girraffes, Leopard, enlands, baboon, lions ,Zebra, Wild dogs etc and over 450 different bird species like; Flamingos , starling birds, White pelican etc. The park is famous for huge number of attracting flamingos and being the soda lake.
