Maasai Simba Camp
Maasai Simba Camp is a mid-range accommodation found in the heart of masaai county , deep in the acacia forest on the bank of kiboko river , 22 miles from Amboseli national park in Kenya. The camp is set in the wildlife corridor between Amboseli and Chyulu hill national parks. The camp is situated in an ideal place and convenient to guests with its stunning views of African savannah and snowcapped Mount Kilimanjaro.
Amboseli national park is big covering 3000 square km area in Kenya and across the borders of Tanzania. You can either be in the park by road or air transport which takes about 215 km driving from Nairobi – Arusha road via Namanga and 228Km on Nairobi -mombasa road and 45 minutes to fly from Nairobi to close amboseli airport ,then 8 miles to be transferred to the camp from airstrip.
Maasaai simba camp consists of 15 well pointed and spacious tents built in African traditional style with with modern comfort. Tents are well decorated, elevated with raised Platform and furnished with privacy and tranquility. Each room has its own private en -suite facilities like clean flushing toilets , Mosquito nets , flat screen TV’s , hair driers , separate hot and cold running showers . Rooms have verandas, sitting areas and private balconies with a cozy atmosphere , you relax while overlooking the beautiful view of mount Kilimanjaro ,the park and animals visiting the park .
The camp has excellent and comfortable rooms with clean and washed beddings. Rooms are in different categories and sizes depending on single, double, twins and triple rooms. There are campfires that provide warmth to visitors during nights. Rooms cost 300$ and above per night. But prices differ in different season where in peak season the price goes slightly high.
Maasai simba camp has more facilities and services which include; A well-stocked bar with both soft and hard drinks , a restaurant in the main building that serves delicious meals both local and international that meets guests choice ; Breakfast in the garden , lunch , dinners both indoor and outdoor dinners ,they also serve bush dinners , well organized and friendly staff , a swimming pool with sundowners , you relax in water and sip the cocktail while enjoying the beautiful view of Mount Kilimanjaro , the park and surrounding scrub area , the camp has shared lounge and garden, the lodge offers laundry services, camping available , airport pickups and drop offs , Wifi internet available at the camp that enables guests to keep in contact with their families and friends, walking night safaris , Ample parking space, Spacious and comfortable rooms with private facilities , Healthy and fitness center with massage , business center also available with wedding meetings , honey moon package, Gift shop also available with African craft gifts like ;clothes, shoes , safari essentials etc.
Amboseli National Park is situated in southern Kenya in the loitoktok district in Rift valley province of Kenya lying on 240 km from Nairobi and northwest of Mount Kilimanjaro. The park covers the total area of 392 km squared. its known for more herds of elephants and a good view of mount kilimanjaro, across the border of Tanzania, .
