MARA PLAINS CAMP- MASAAI MARA NATIONAL PARK KENYA
Mara Plains camp is a luxury 4-star accommodation located on the shores of Ntiakitiak River in the private 35,000 acres of olare Motorogi conservancy in the northern boundary of the Masaai Mara national park Kenya region. The camp is situated on the great wildebeest migration route that gives tourists and travellers a chance to see wide range of animals and Mara Plains . The camp is owned and operated by Great Plains hotels that offer unique accommodations across Africa. It takes approximately four -five hour drive from Nairobi city to Masaai Mara National Park and an hour flight from Nairobi to the closest Kichwa tembo airstrip and few minutes to be transferred to the camp.
Mara plains camp is comprised of 7 comfortable and spacious en-suite Tents on a raised deck overlooking the vast plains of Mara reflecting traditional style with combination of sold materials of local woods and high level of comfort. Tents are well elevated with a wooden platform, decorated and furnished with private en suite facilities of flushing toilets, bathrooms with hot and cold showers, mosquito nets, free toiletries, complementary bottled water, wooden chairs and tables, and many More.
Tents have terraces, large sitting areas and private wooden balconies overlooking the spectacular views of over the Mara Plains, river and surrounding area. Tents are equipped with comfortable clean bedding containing king and queen sized beds. There is a campfire pit where guests relax and share stories/ experience about the safari da that provides warmth to visitors staying at. Rooms are in different sizes with single beds for individuals ,double/twin for couple or Two people and family options with different costs ranging from 400$ per night and above ( note that high season rate is different to low season rate.)

A restaurant in the main building with the view of the plain serving different cuisines both international and African- inspired meals that meets guests choice. Meals offered include; Continental breakfast, picnic lunch and dinner in the main building served by well trained, friendly and welcoming staff, you can have meals in any place of your choice either veranda overlooking the park or in the dining areas. Bush breakfasts are also offered while enjoying morning sunrises and bush dinners while overlooking the stars in the sky.
A-well stocked bar with variety of refreshment both alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks, you relax on balcony while sipping the sundowner that winds up your evening overlooking the spectacular view of the Mara plain and surrounding areas

Maasai Mara National park is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. The park contains over a million of animals that include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos and 600 species of bird and 60 species of raptors in different colors . Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual wildebeest migration from Serengeti national park during July ,August and October .The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills, and is crossed by the Mara and Talek river.
