Serengeti National Park fees : Serengeti national park is a great ecosystem and a famous tourist destination in Tanzania and East Africa, this beautiful park is one of the most visited destinations in Tanzania and it is situated in the northern Tanzania in Mara and Simiyu regions. Serengeti national park is well known for the wildebeest migration which is a migration of thousands of wildebeests, zebras and gazelles, these animals move northwards from the southern grassy plains in search for green pasture.

Serengeti national park is managed and administered by Tanzania National Park (TANAPA), this body is responsible for drafting park fees at Serengeti national park. these fees were drafted basing on many factors and put in various categories as shown below.

Park entry fees 

Park entrance fees in Serengeti national park are fees paid to allow tourists to enter in the park, these fees are charged to every individual basing on the status of the tourist and the age group of the individual. Park entry fees are paid daily and they are valid for only 24 hours and they include a game drive in the park.

Activity fees  

Activity fees in Serengeti national park are fees paid to take part in each safari activity inside the park, these fees are paid per every activity on a daily basis.

Filming fees in Serengeti national park are fees paid by individuals visiting the park with purpose of filming purposes, these fees paid by each person per day and entitle individuals to free entrance, camping and filming.

Note: These fees apply to every individuals regardless of their status (expatriates/residents and Non-East Africa Citizen)

Video shooting fees in Serengeti national park are fees paid by all individuals visiting the park for video shooting such as music or movies recording, these fees are charged a group of filming crew of 2-20 individuals and they are paid on top of conservation fees

Camping fees

Camping fees in Serengeti are fees charged to tourists who want to enjoy camping experience, these fees are charged depending the type of the camp and age group.

Important points to Note about Serengeti national park fees 

Status/categories of tourists 

As Tanzania National Park (TANAPA) was drafting fees at Serengeti national park the status of the tourist was a major basis 

Expatriates/residents – the status of Expatriates/residents are individuals with residence in Tanzania but not citizens of Tanzania and any of East Africa Community member country (Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and Burundi). These individuals have to be in possession of residence permits of either class A, B and C, diplomatic passport or Id, exemption certificate or a temporary pass with an attachment of government receipt and acknowledgement letter.

 Non-East Africa Community Citizens – these are international tourists who are neither residents of East African community member countries nor expatriates/residents, at Serengeti national park these people are required to present valid passports.
