The northern end of the Albertine Rift Valley is where Murchison Falls National Park is. One thing that makes the Park unique is that the River Nile runs right through the middle of it. Also, the western Rift cliff makes the most powerful waterfall in the world as the river drops forty-five metres.
Below Murchison Falls, the river slows down and becomes a wide, calm stream that runs quietly through the rift valley floor and into Lake Albert. This part of the river is one of the best places to see wildlife in Uganda.

It is easy to see why it is one of the most popular parks in the country. It is best known for its large groups of Elephants, Tree-Climbing Lions, the Kazinga Channel Wildlife boat safari, the huge Maragambo Forest, the huge explosion craters, and the famous Kyambura Gorge, which has been shown on BBC.
In Queen Elizabeth National Park, the River Nile does not run through it like it does in Murchison Falls National Park. Instead, the Equator goes through the Park here.
Kazinga National Park was the first name for the park. In honour of Queen Elizabeth’s visit in 1954, the Park was renamed Queen Elizabeth National Park, and that name has stuck ever since.

Kidepo Valley Park is wild, beautiful, and full of animals, just like you thought Africa would be, but even better. A park that you shouldn’t miss. It’s on a lot of people’s bucket lists, but there aren’t many people there, so it’s still nice and new.

Many people don’t go to the Rwenzori Mountains of the Moon because they think that only mountain climbers can do anything there. In the slopes of the Mountains of the Moon, there are a lot of things to do.
You can stay in a town, hike, watch birds, and walk through nature without crowds. One of our clients’ favorite places in Uganda was there.
You can also climb some of the hills that are covered in snow. Most glaciers will be gone in 20 years, so now is the time to climb them before it’s too late. One better thing is that climbing to the top of the Mountains of the Moon is a lot cheaper than anywhere else.
Queen Elizabeth Park, Kibale Forest, and Semliki Park are all near the Rwenzori Mountains of the Moon. In the Foothills, you can see the Park, or you can walk to the Peaks.

Mount Elgon was the tallest rock in Africa for 24 million years, but then it blew its top. Before it blew, it was much taller than Mount Kilimanjaro is now.
Mount Elgon’s volcanic base is the world’s largest at 4,000 km2. The mountain is on the border between Uganda and Kenya and is the oldest and biggest single-volcano peak in East Africa.
Its huge shape stands more than 3,000 metres above the fields around it. The cool heights of the mountain offer a break from the heat of the plains below, and the higher levels are a safe place for plants and animals.
Most climbers find that the best part isn’t getting to the top of 4,231-meter Wagagi Peak, but going down into the world’s biggest unbroken caldera, which is 40km2.
Mount Elgon and Sipi Falls are two of the Eastern Wonders of Uganda. You can go on nature walks, hikes, mountain bikes, rock climb, abseil, and fish for trout, climb a volcano, and do a lot more here.
It’s a great place to explore on a safari, with great hikes, beautiful nature walks, and the Bagisu and Sabinyi people to meet. It is also where the Abayudaya live, which is Uganda’s only African Jewish community. Here is where Uganda’s best runners train, and people are welcome to come watch.
