Detailed itinerary of 5 days Chalbi Desert, Lake Turkana, Ngurunit safari
Day 1: Nairobi – Marsabit
On the first day of the safari, you will be picked from your hotel in Nairobi by a safari driver and representative from East Africa Tours, after a short briefing about the safari you will set off heading to Marsabit national park a remote paradise for nature lovers and a refuge to huge tusked bull elephants. the park is situated in northern region of Kenya, densely forested mountain and three crater lakes which are a haven for birdlife, mammals and reptiles.
Along the way you will have short stopovers at the equator, at the equator, in Isiolo for lunch and a few more to take picture on the northern roads. When you arrive in Marsabit national park, you will have a short tour of Lake Paradise, then retire at your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: Marsabit- Chalbi Desert- Kalacha Oasis-Dunes-North Horr
Have early morning breakfast and depart for Chalbi desert, North Horr Dunes and Kalacha Desert Oasis, the desert was once part of an extensive lake and this is evidenced by the basin that fill with shallow water during the heavy rains and fossilized remains of snails and fish vertebrate.

Day 3: North Horr- Loiyangalani-Lake Turkana- Elmolo Village
Have early breakfast and head out to Lake Turkana on a scenic and breathtaking drive, on arrival you will go for a boat ride to Elmolo Village for a visit to the smallest tribe in Kenya living inside Lake Turkana. While in this village you will be able to learn about the culture, traditions and norms of these people and more about their history as you interact with them. You will have lunch and in the afternoon you will explore the lake area or take a swim in the lake. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Loiyangalani -South Horr- Ngurunit
Have breakfast and head to the desert Museum located at the shores of Lake Turkana, here you will be able to learn more about the tribal villages of the north, their culture and archaeological works that have been discovered in the North. Later you will proceed to Ngurunit through South Horr arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon you will have nature walks and visit the famous rock slides for a swim or adventure sliding in the rocks. Head to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Ngurunit – Nairobi
After breakfast, you will and start your journey back to Nairobi with en-route lunch, you will be dropped off in Nairobi either at the hotel or at the airport for your departure flight back home.
