Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes national park
On the 1stbday of 7 Day Rwanda Gorilla, chimpanzee and city tour Safari you will be picked from the airport upon arrival by your safari driver who is a LSO our company representative. After a short briefing about the safari you will set off on a 2-3 journey to volcanoes national park. When you arrive in the park you will check into your lodge, and rest for a while, in the evening you will have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Tracking.
On the 2nd day of 7 Day Rwanda Gorilla, chimpanzee and city tour Safari you will leave your lodge as early as 6:30 after bee and head to the park for mountain gorilla trekking briefing in which a guide will read you the rules and regulations to follow while mountain gorilla trekking. You will be assigned a mountain gorilla group to trek, hire a porter to assist you on the safari and then head I to the forests in search for mountain gorillas. Mountain gorilla trekking takes approximately 3-5 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas that is why you have to carry packed lunch with you, when you find the gorillas you are allowed to stay only 1 hour in the presence of the gorillas while observing their behavior and taking pictures. At the end if the experience you will head back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.
Day 3: Dian Fossey hike
On the 3rd day of 7 Days Rwanda Gorilla, chimpanzee and city tour Safari you will have morning breakfast, leave your lodge and head the park for Dian Fossey hike with your packed lunch, Cain Fossey was an American primatologist who dedicated his life to carrying out research on mountain gorillas and because of her work, the protected of mountain gorillas was brought to light.
Unfortunately she was attacked while at her karisoke research centre by unknown people who murdered her off, following her death she was hurried in the forests amidst the mountain gorillas. Dian Fossey hiking leads you to karisoke research centre and dian Fossey tomb, on this experience you will learn more about Dian Fossey and her great work to the conservation of mountain gorillas. After the experience you will head back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.
Day 4: transfer to Nyungwe national park
On the 4th day of 7 Days Rwanda Gorilla, chimpanzee and city tour Safari you will have morning breakfast at your leisure, checkout if your lodge and head on a drive to Nyungwe forest national park. Nyungwe forest national park is offered destination best known for offering excellent chimpanzee tracking experience. On your way you will have enroute lunch and when you arrive in the park, you will check into your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 5: Nyungwe chimpanzee trekking
On the 5th day of 7 Days Rwanda Gorilla, chimpanzee and city tour Safari you will have day morning breakfast at your lodge then head to Nyungwe forest national park’s Headquarters for briefing, in the briefing a ranger will inform you about the right way to act while the presence of chimpanzees as you search for chimpanzee you will spot many other primates such as black and white colobus monkeys, grey checked mangabey, Angolan colobus, owl faced monkey and many birds. After finding the chimpanzees you will spend only one hour in their presence while observing their behavior and taking pictures. After one hour you will trek back to the park’s headquarters, meet your safari guide and head back to your lodge for lunch, in the afternoon you will go for canopy walk on the high suspended metallic canopy above the forests of Nyungwe. On the walk you will enjoy sights of many birds, and primates. In the evening you will head back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.
Day 6: Visit Genocide Memorial
On the 6th day of 7 Days Rwanda Gorilla, chimpanzee and city tour Safari you will have morning breakfast, meet your safari guide and head for a tour in genocide memorial centers of Rwanda, visiting genocide memorial centre offers an insight in the terrific Kigali genocide of 1940 in which thousands of Tutsi and Hutus lost their lives due to mass killing. You will visit various genocide centre such as Kigali Genocide Memorial Center, Murambi Genocide Memorial, Nyamata Genocide Memorial, Nyanza Genocide Memorial and many more. While on you will have a lunch break and in the evening you will head back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight in Kigali city.

Day 7: city tour and transfer to the airport
On the 7th day of 7 Days Rwanda Gorilla, chimpanzee and city tour Safari you will have morning breakfast then head to Kigali city for a city tour, on the tour you will visit sites like kimironko market for souvenir shopping, shopping malls, cinema arts centre, Kigali city tour and many more. You will then have lunch and be dropped off at the airport to catch your departure flight or at your hotel.
